IB艺术作品丨感知艺术,思考生活

The famous American art theorist Mitchell once said: " If you want your child to advance academically and socially, artistic influence is the key. When neglecting their education in arts, we compromise their chance of success and creative engagement in the 21st century.” We can see that art education plays a vital role in the growth of students.

美国著名艺术理论家米切尔指出:“如果想要孩子在学业和社交能力上都更进一步,接受艺术熏陶是关键。一旦忽略了艺术教育,我们就损害了年轻人在21世纪的成功机会和创新参与的机会。”足以看出艺术教育在学生成长过程中起到至关重要的作用。

 

 

IB advocates holistic education. In addition to a wealth of academic courses to choose from, art, as one of the six IBDP subject groups, plays an important role in IBDP. In addition to serving as the sixth subject group of IBDP for students, Guangzhou Foreign Language School ISA Wenhua IBDP Programme has specially set up an Art Pathway to help students who have shown obvious interests in art to welcome their own bright future.

IB课程提倡全人教育,除了丰富的学术课程以供选择外,艺术作为IBDP六大学科组之一,在IBDP课程体系中占据着重要地位。除了作为IBDP第六学科组以供学术班学生选择学习,广州外国语学校爱莎文华IBDP课程特开设艺术升学通道,帮助在艺术方向表现出明显的兴趣、特长的学生在艺术赛道上开启属于自己的新蓝海。

 

In the artistic fertile soil of the GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme, the students' aesthetic ability, creativity, and independent inquiry ability have grown rapidly, and have been perfectly presented in their works.

Fashion Design

时尚设计

 

Mily Li

 

The project is inspired by the corsets worn by European women in the old days. Waist corset, like foot binding, seriously endangers women's physical and mental health, but this deformed aesthetic was all the rage at the time. Through this concept, Mily developed and produced modern clothing—a corset with extremely cold materials and sharp shapes, to reflect the erosion and harm of abnormal aesthetic culture on women.

项目灵感来源于欧洲旧时代女性的束腰。束腰和缠足一样,严重危害着女性身心健康,这种畸形的审美却在当时竟然风靡一时。Mily同学通过这个概念发展制作出了现代服饰——极其冰冷材质和凌厉外形的的胸衣,以此来反映畸形审美文化对女性的侵蚀和伤害。

 

Hamila Liang 

Hamila thinks that many supermodels in Western countries are famous for their neutral beauty, but Westerners have unique characteristics in body and face. Hamila analyzed the characteristics of Western neutral beauty clothing and the characteristics of Western faces and figures, and created a set of neutral beauty clothing suitable for the physiological characteristics of Eastern people.

Hamila同学认为,西方很多名模都是以中性美出名,西方人在身材和脸蛋上有着独有的特征。Hamila对西方中性美的服饰特征和西方人脸型、身材的特征进行分析,以创作出一套适合东方人生理特征的中性美服饰。

 

 

3D艺术

3D Art

 

Rachel Li

The theme of this project is aesthetic anxiety. Rachel Li extracted makeup, red lips, hair coloring and other elements for analysis, and finally focused on hair, using the theme of "Three Thousands of Troubles" to create a pure art installation. Rachel Li created a multi-material sculpture inspired by girls' love of beauty. The main body of the figure is made of plaster and painted with black acrylic. The shape is blunt and sharp, showing a strong sense of technology. The "three thousand silk" on the top of the head is shaped with cork, and the irregular arrangement creates a unique spatial effect.

 

此项目以审美容貌焦虑为主题,Rachel Li同学提取妆容、红唇、染发等多种元素进行分析,最终将重点放在头发上,采取“烦恼三千丝”为主题进行纯艺术装置创作。Rachel Li以女孩“爱美”为灵感创作出一个综合材质雕塑作品。人物主体采用石膏雕塑,并以黑色丙烯上色,造型钝而锐利,表现出很强的科技感。头顶的“三千丝”用软木帮塑造,不规则排列塑造出独特的空间效果。

 

Selina Wu 

Selina conducted research and analysis on the four schools of magic in Harry Potter, and made in-depth visual interpretations from different aspects such as school badges to interior space features.

Selina同学对哈利波特剧中四所魔法学院进行调研分析,并从校徽到室内空间特征等不同方面进行深度视觉解读。

 

 

2D艺术

 

Rachel Cai

 

This project is multiple long exposures. The source of inspiration for Rachel Cai is that the real photo function of the iPhone can synthesize blurred photos similar to multiple exposure effects.

Rachel finds overlapping areas in dynamic objects by analyzing the exposure principle of blurred pictures, and uses the shape of overlapping areas to design new patterns.

 

本项目为多重长曝光,Rachel Cai同学的灵感来源是iPhone的实景照片功能可以合成模糊的类似多重曝光效果的照片。

Rachel通过分析模糊图片的曝光原理,找到动态对象中的重叠区域,利用重叠区域的形态进行全新的图案设计。

 

Rachel Li

This project is about texture and details. Rachel Li uses the materials at hand, such as still life petals and details of plastic bags, to simulate the artistic texture, and carry out creative graphic painting.

该项目内容关于肌理与细节,Rachel Li利用手边材料如静物花瓣、塑料袋细节进行艺术肌理模拟,进行创意平面绘画。

Screen Based Art

Hamila Liang 

 

Stop motion animation project. Starting from the most common life themes, Hamila analyzes and restores the dreams in sleep, and finally re-weaves and interprets the dreams in the form of video stop-motion animation.

定格动画项目。Hamila从最常见的生活主题入手,对睡眠中的梦境进行分析和还原,最终用视频定格动画的形式进行梦境的重新编织、演绎。

Art is a way of inquiry, through which students learn about themselves and explore the world. From the works of the students, we can see that the students are not only painting, but also take daily life as the starting point, research and think about what we see and hear in our lives, and express their understanding of art.

艺术作为一条探究的途径,学生们通过学习艺术来认识自我、探索世界。从同学们的作品中,我们可以看到学生面对的不仅仅是完成笔头的画画,更多的是同学们以日常生活为切入点,对我们生活中所见所闻进行研究和思考,表达对艺术的理解。

 

 

IB Arts is not just skills education, but inquiry education, hoping to develop a more advanced transferable learning ability. In the classroom, the art theory knowledge is never directly instilled by the teacher to the students, but the teacher guides the students to think and internalize the new knowledge they come into contact with, and learn to transform the knowledge into different ways to present it, which also effectively cultivates students help them better learn and understand other subjects

IB艺术并不是单纯的技能教育,而是探究教育,希望培养一种更高级的可迁移学习能力。在课堂上,艺术理论知识从不是老师直接灌输给学生,而是老师引导学生对新接触的知识进行思考内化,并学会将知识转换成不同的方式呈现出来,而这同时也有力地培养同学们的思辨能力和探究能力,帮助其更好学习及理解其他学科
